1955-2002 GM; Steering Coupler Bolt; 12 Point; Grade 8; Each
Reproduction of the 12-point, grade 8 bolt that secures the steering coupler to the steering shaft on most GM vehicles. The original couplers came with a 12-point bolt in the location where tightening this bolt squeezes the coupler onto the steering shaft. The reason a 12-point bolt must be used is because it is very tight tolerance, and very difficult to get wrench to tighten up with full turns when the coupler is installed on car. Having the 12-point bolts makes it much easier to install, and makes the part look much more authentic and original.
For a steering coupler hardware set that also includes this bolt use 748799.
