1960-65 Falcon, Comet; Fuel Tank; with Drain Plug; Zinc Coated; 16 Gallon Tank; F28B

OER Authorized galvanized (zinc coated) reproduction stamped steel fuel tank offers a precise fit and features a standard corrosion resistant coating for protection against rust. Includes drain plug, lock ring and o-ring gasket for the fuel sender. This 16 gallon replacement tank has added capacity over the original 14 gallon tank and may interfere with the original style muffler on some models. The original tanks were angled on the passenger side to clear the stock muffler whereas this tank is not angled on that side. This is where some of the increased capacity comes from. We recommend that the muffler is relocated in front of the rear axle like the V-8 cars with factory dual exhaust when using this increased capacity tank. This part will bolt directly into the 1960-1965 Ford Falcon, and 1960-1963 Mercury Comet, however, when installing on 1960-61 models, the filler neck will have to be replaced with a later style neck.
