GM 140 Steering Gear Box; Vega Style; Manual: 20:1 Ratio; 5 Turns Lock-To-Lock; Black
The Saginaw 140 manual steering gear box is a favorite among hot rodders, street rodders and racers alike. In production during a 7-year span from 1971-1977, the 140 gear box has a number of favorable attributes, including its compact design which allows it to fit into tight spaces, and its light weight of just under 12 lbs. This reproduction of the 140 gear box is made with new tooling for the highest quality standards, offering an exact fit and OE appearance. It can be used with original manual steering pitman arm or a host of aftermarket arms, brackets, and/or u-joints. Each unit is a brand new unit, not rebuilt. Steering coupler/rag joint is sold separately.
Note: These boxes are perfect for the cross steering system in hot rod applications with straight axle setups: including Street Rods, Rat Rods, Hot Rods, T-Buckets, Model A's, 1923-1948 Fords, and many other vehicles weighing under 2800 lbs.
