The Raingear wiper system is a modern, high-quality replacement for the old system. It is the only replacement wiper system that is completely hidden, fitting entirely within the airbox in the cowl. This allows you to remove the stock wiper motor from the firewall. The wiper motor hole in the firewall can than be covered up with the cover plate supplied in the kit or you can weld in a patch panel to eliminate the hole completely. This wiper kit is perfect for Pro Street cars or if you just desire a clean looking firewall. The kit comes complete less wiper arms and blades. The stock wiper arms will fit on this system and work same as original.
Applications:- 1970-1978 Chevrolet Camaro (without Pantograph)
- 1970-1978 Pontiac Firebird (without Pantograph)
- Important: Raingear unit can't be controlled by any General Motors column-mounted wiper switches. You must use the switch that's included with the kit. GM switches control the wiper motor via the ground wire and this system must be controlled by switching the positive wire.
- Note: Pantograph definition: On the driver side wiper you'll see 2 arms, 1 normal looking arm and a small skinny arm below it. That a pantograph system. If you only have 1 normal looking arm on the driver side, you don't have a pantograph system.
